The Ring 3D is the continuation of the terrifyng saga The Ring. Its debut is confirmed to 2012, according to The Ring director.

This sequel (and the upcoming 2012 3D sequel The Ring 3D) is not based on any of the previous Japanese sequels to Ring, and is an original storyline, continuing from The Ring.

Not much is known about the films development, only that it has been hinted many times that the short film Rings has inspired the sequel as it will be teenage-centered.
